1. Fifth Street Bridge
Distance from stadium: 8-minute walk
Growing in popularity each year, the stretches of lawn on either side of Fifth Street Bridge connector to Tech Square is one of the best places to tailgate on campus. This area is near several parking garages and parking decks off Tech Square making it an easy walk from your car, to your tailgate spot, to the stadium. The area is always packed on game day with fans eager to watch the game.
2. West Campus: IC Lawn Area
Distance from stadium: 12-minute walk
If you’re looking for a calm, spacious area to cookout and hangout before the game, the IC lawn is the perfect place for you. This area will always have fans on game day, but in a more spread out and serene setting, making it popular for young families and parents. If you don’t mind the distance from the stadium, this is one of the best spots for tailgating.
3. Tech Green
Distance from stadium: 6-minute walk
Right in the center of campus, Tech Green is not far from the stadium or parking. This grassy area is also the location of Revelxp – a professional tailgating service available to fans for an “elite game day experience.” If this location is hand picked by the professionals, it must be a pretty good spot for tailgating.
4. Peter’s Parking Deck
Distance from stadium: 3-minute walk
Peter’s Parking deck is a perfect location for people looking to have a parking spot and tailgate while being right next to the stadium. The location of the parking deck is hard to beat, leading it to become a fan favorite for many.
5. Techwood Drive
Distance from stadium: 3-minute walk
On Techwood Drive, you can find some of the most dedicated Georgia Tech fans. In reserved spots with decked out cars and RVs, these fans are ready for game day. From this area, you can see Georgia Tech students, fans, and alumni all making their way to the stadium for the game.
6. Greek Houses
Distance from stadium: 2- to 10-minute walk
For Georgia Tech students who are looking for the traditional game day experience with drinks and friends, there’s no better place to go than your peers’ fraternity houses. Fraternities go all out for game days with live bands, food, and drinking games to entertain their friends and any alumni who stop by.
