When deciding on an apartment in Atlanta, Georgia Tech students have many factors to consider such as price, availability, and distance from classes to name a few. And with so many student apartments available in Midtown, it’s hard to know which property is right for you.

At Whistler, we are confident that our range of floor plan options, state-of-the-art amenities and prime location will suit the needs of any student. With this being said, we know how difficult it can be to narrow down your options or even compare one property to another. To help make this process easier, we are doing a side-by-side comparison of two options for student apartments in Midtown: Whistler and The Connector.

Comparing Georgia Tech Student Apartments: Whistler vs. The Connector

Location

For many Georgia Tech students, location means everything when deciding where to sign your lease. Both of these properties are located across 5th Street Bridge on Spring Street near East Campus.

Whistler

Located at 859 Spring Street NW, Whistler is just steps from Tech Square, Scheller College of Business, and Barnes and Noble. This prime location on the corner of Spring Street and Abercrombie Street is just a 3-minute walk from East Campus near Tiff’s Treats and LA Fitness Midtown.

The Connector

Down the opposite side of Spring Street, The Connector is about a 6-minute walk from Georgia Tech’s campus on the corner of Spring Street NW and 3rd Street NW. This location is near The Standard and Sweet and Fresh.

Pricing and Floor Plans

Whistler

Whistler has floor plan options ranging from studio to 5×5 layouts. At the time of publication, prices range from $1,449 to $2,199 per person, per month depending on the floor plan and availability.

Units come fully furnished with GE stainless steel appliances, premium Wi-Fi, bluetooth controlled washers and dryers, a wall-mounted smart TV and much more.

The Connector

The Connector offers various floor plans including studio, 1×1, 2×2, 4×4 and 5×5 layouts.

At the time of publication on December 2023, rates for 2024 – 2025 at The Connector range from $1,429 to $2,149 per person, per month, depending on unit type. All rates are subject to change. Due to the tier system used by student housing apartments, most apartments raise rates throughout the lease-up season after a certain number of leases are signed. Each unit comes fully furnished with quartz kitchen cabinets, stainless steel appliances, smart TVs, and more.
